What Do We Hear When We Talk About Climate Change?
Your view of the world can grow like a set of Russian dolls
Guest perspective by LaWanna Durbin
Climate change has been called a hoax, an existential threat,
a “wicked problem.”
I like the term “hyperobject” (used by philosopher Timothy Morton) to denote global warming as being so massively distributed throughout space and time as to be nearly unknowable.
Past, present, and future all have
starring roles, and where exactly
can you find the colossal object
“climate change” — here, there,
everywhere? Climate change
is difficult to cognitively grasp.
